50th Day of School

We had so much fun celebrating our 50th day of school! Here is a little peek at some of the fun things we did!

Bubble blowing contest! Then we did a little writing about how to blow a bubble.

We don't go down to the soda shop after school like maybe some kids would have in the 50's but we thought we would bring it to our classroom! We did some writing about this as well! We predicted whether the ice cream would sink or float (we were split 50/50 on our guesses) and then we wrote another "how to."

It was interesting comparing some things from the 50's and today.

Not everything is different though. Some things are the same!

We practiced making tally marks all the way up to 50 and we also did some patterns on records.

And of course the sock hop was a huge hit! We danced to some fun 50's rock and roll songs!

We graphed our favorite activity.

If you think THAT looks fun, just wait until the 100th day of school!
