Today we talked about SHOES! Well, mostly we talked about books but we compared it to shoes. We pick different shoes for different reasons like flip flops for the beach or fancy shoes for a party or wedding. We also pick books for certain reasons. Sometimes it is to learn about something we are interested in (like animals) or maybe just for entertainment (like a story book).
I brought my husband's shoe in to see if it was a good fit for anyone in our class. I also brought my neice's shoe in from when she was a baby to see if that was a good fit.
Too small!
Too big!
Just like we need the right size shoe, we also need the right size book - not too hard and not too easy. It needs to be a GOOD FIT! We will talk more this week about how to pick a good fit book for our book boxes at school!
